Job Description

As a Production Planner you will have a demonstrable track record within production and/or material planning and scheduling, have strong IT skills coupled with a thorough understanding of MRP planning operations.

Resilience and an ability to liaise with staff at all levels is essential, as is the drive to deliver a first class service to production departments. You must also have the ability and experience to work within a fast moving production environment. Resilience is an important characteristic in this environment with the ability to drive and achieve the best result for the department, company and the customer.

Key responsibilities 1. Planning 3 fast moving production lines.

  1. Formulating both short and long term production plans to ensure that targets are achieved.
    
  2. Liaising internally with production colleagues, sales co-ordinators, and the customer (if required)
    
  3. Co-ordination of activities with related departments to ensure the smooth introduction of all new products.
    
  4. Daily duties involve checking and monitoring of production achievement. 
    
  5. Attendance of morning production meetings and contribution as required.
    
  6. Management of all related finished goods stocks policies.
    

Essential Experience 1. 3-5 years experience in material and/or production planning within working knowledge of MRP principles. Exposure ideally within a TS16949 automotive manufacturing or FMCG environment.

  1. Highly developed organisational and time management skills with effective prioritizing.  
    
  2. Well rounded communication skills and the ability to liaise with all levels in an organisation. 
    
  3. Working knowledge and expertise within of MRP systems ideally AS400 based. 
    

Salary Details £20,000 - £25,000 (depending on experience)

Duration Perm/Full Time

Hours of Work Mon-Thurs 08.30am – 5pm Fri - 8.30am- 1.30pm

Notice Period 1 Month

Start Date ASAP

Holiday entitlement 25 days per year + 9 statutory bank holidays
