Job Description

Responsible for the coordination and functional management of the sales activity needs of the companies customers within the UK in order to meet the objectives of the group's overall business plans and strategies.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  1.   Acting as main contact for all sales related activities for nominated customers
    
  2.   Support the development of the mid-range plan and the establishment of both annual and monthly sales budgets and objectives
    
  3.   Evaluation of customer requirements to ensure that the company is able to satisfy customer needs in terms of both product and pricing
    
  4.   Provision of sales forecasts and monthly sales figures in order to demonstrate company performance against targets
    
  5.   Overall responsibility to ensure that tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines
    
  6. Responsibility for coordinating the specific objectives of the Sales Plan with regards to the assigned functional area and liaising with relevant company departments

  7.   Establishment of both market and target customer strategies for the Company.
    
  8.   Ensure that effective client contact, relationship building and management processes are in place (including acting on feedback from Customer Satisfaction Surveys) to positively influence the client and create a pre-disposition to view the company as the preferred source of supply
    
  9.   Maintain knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors and leading customer strategies, especially in relation to international business
    
  10. Ensure application of company sales and commercial policies, procedures, codes of conduct and best practice guidelines
    
  11. Ensure that handover meetings and documentation are effective and result in a smooth transition from pre to post order status
    
  12. Maintain relevant areas of CRM database, ensuring that the company sales forecast and best prospect lists are provided to schedule
    
  13. Attendance at quarterly sales meetings and ensure that all relevant information from assigned area is available for the sales team
    
  14. Participate in and actively support company initiatives
    
  15. Familiar with the environmental aspects and impacts of the activities and processes involved in the role and the procedures, practices and measures to manage the impact.
    
  16. Familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices and measures in place to mitigate the risks.
