Job Description

Purpose of the job

The technical support engineer is primarily responsible for the coordination and functional support of the internal sales activity required to develop the Sulzer Process Pumps business. Main tasks and responsibilities

1.  Provide technical support to clients and external sales team.
   

2.  Interpret and fully understand customer requirements to produce timely and accurate commercial and technical tenders. 
   

3.  Liaise between customers and suppliers, to ensure that requirements are identified and detailed and that correct purchase orders are submitted.
   

4.  Ensure that Order Entry Documentation is completed in accordance with handover guidelines and procedures and company KPIs
   

5.  Ensure that all supplied goods comply with relevant standards and certification
   

6.  Attend client kick off meetings where required
   

7.  Attend on site client inspection meetings where required
   

8.  Ensure that tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines
   

9.  Provision of monthly report detailing performance against targets, forecast orders etc.
   

10. Responsible for job cost performance

11. To be familiar with the environmental aspects and impacts of the activities and processes involved in the role and the procedures, practices and measures to manage the impact.

To be familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices and measures in place to mitigate the risks

Qualifications/Experience and Knowledge Required · HND or equivalent in engineering and/or

· Relevant experience within related industry

· Experience of QA processes and procedures (desirable)

· Experience with tender completion (desirable)

· General computer skills
